CRASHENDO! East Gippsland Inc is a community initiated and operated music and social development program, based on El Sistema (Venezuela) a worldwide 40+ year network.
Programs provide free high quality instrumental tuition, community orchestra, performances and unique collaborative events.
This improves educational/social outcomes for children, youth, parents and wider community.
Programs give particular support for those who are experiencing challenges in their lives.
CRASHENDO East Gippsland's weekly and annual/ one-off programs:
- Early Years: professional development + instrument library with lesson plans
- Primary School Aged: group instrumental tuition with professional musician visits
- Youth Extension: collaboration with Itet: John Noble’s Quartet Program
- Youth(ful) Orchestra - rehearsals with professional conductor + performances
- Unique Events: annual and one-off community based music events. Often collaborating with visiting artists or other music organisations
PLUS:
- ‘Talent Attraction’ to attract highly experienced personnel both locally and from wider afield, to fulfill a skills shortage: this program also including youth training/mentoring.

Our 2 youth string ensembles have an exciting opportunity in December !!!
As part of our collaboration with Itet, (John Noble's Quartet Program), they will be playing at Iwaki Auditorium, Melbourne on Dec 3rd.
They will be joining professional musicians, including Flinders Quartet, plus the other ensembles from nine other regional Victorian areas, who are in the Itet program.
Please support them by going to the concert if possible.
